What did you do to your Honda HRV today?

Share what you did today with the HRV community!

Example: I took her out of the garage and gave her a nice bath and followed up with a coat of wax.

Example: Finally got my window tints done, now I can't open my windows for a week :(

Anything goes....

Cargo cover. Oem style(non north america)

Bottle is full and water is a little heavy.
I like it! Where did you pick that one up? Link would be great!
No, black Thule aero blades.
So are you going to Plastidip the wheels next? That would carry your red/black theme to a new level. With red brake calipers? And black pin striping? :)
Norm23 did his... I think there is even a thread on how easy it was. If I recall you don't even have to take the rims off the car. Just cover the calipers and rotors with plastic grocery bags, and spray away. The plastidip comes off of the rubber.
Added the crossbars to my EX-L Navi from College Hills Honda. I was concerned about the added noise from them, but I didn't notice any difference on the road today.
Interesting .......my mods kind of follow yours, what was the end result of this? How did it drive different? What exactly is the crossbar? like a swaybar?
These are the cross bars for the roof rack attachment. I'm moving my daughter to Winston-Salem later this summer and need to put a cargo box on top of the HRV to transport some of her stuff. The inside will be filled as well. You can see the impact on this overhead shot. So, no impact to driving, and we'll see if it changes my MPG at all.

Glen, I need you to come to Colorado and take care of my car for me for a week or two. Plastidip the wheels. Paint my calipers. Detail in and out. Drink a few adult beverages in between each step for good measure. Pinstripe... yada, yada, yada...

I moved my daughter across the country using primarily my HRV with a topper. She only had one piece of furniture she was taking, but tons of boxes. To give you an idea of the volume between the topper and the HRV, I used one of those big hotel luggage carts to unload my car. It took 3 trips with that thing completely full to carry what came out. Gas mileage suffered (23mpg with an AWD), but it was definitely a LOT cheaper than a rental truck, moving company, or a POD. Amazing utility.

Got the car last month and so far have added splash/mud guards, hard cargo cover, all weather floor mats and cargo mat, and just installed the remote start kit - haven't made it to the dealer to have it programmed yet. Finishing touch - tire valve stem caps to match my aegan blue HRV.
Pictures or it didn't happen... :)

This was all done with plasti dip.
Are you going to do anything with the roof rails?
I got my windows tinted this weekend, hoping it really helps out with the summer heat.
That all depends on what kind of tint you put in. It will help some, regardless, but if you chose the ceramic tint then it helps a ton. Otherwise, you are driving a black car, which is a heat sink. 🤷‍♂️

I ALWAYS require that there be no dealer markings on my car when I drive it off the lot, unless they are willing to pay me for the advertising.

What is this humidity you speak of? Here in Colorado we don't add water to our air.
Even then it is a dry snow... champagne powder... Like right now it is a fairly humid morning... sitting at 21%. It will dry out though... don't like this muggy feeling.
I added those to my HRV just last month. I like the look. They were a bit tricky to get aligned properly, but definitely add a nice touch.
lol... Would the Queen approve of that use of her English? That one I can sorta decipher!

Curious, we don't do the safety checks in Colorado any more. There used to be one when I was first learning to drive over 40 years ago, but they stopped because they were mostly useless. It sounds like the MOT is much more stringent and specific.

@typ240 - I think it could be good, but I'd actually keep it on the sheet metal, above the headlight itself.
