What are the wiper blade sizes (front & rear) for the HR-V? The owner's manual doesn't seem to have this info.

Well I don't need them right now, but I found a great deal on wipers so I'm stocking up for the future when I need em :)

The wiper blade sizes are 26"/18" for the front, 14" for the rear for anyone else that might be wondering.

Yea way wrong. 14" is WAY too big, its more like a 12" I just tried to install the 14" and it stabbed under my rear spoiler and got stuck. Also the rear wiper mount point is too thin and doesnt lock into the wiper arm. I'm gonna call Piaa and see what the ACTUAL rear wiper size and mount are.

UPDATE: I called Piaa and its the same wiper arm on the rear as the CRV from 2007-2011 and guess what, they dont make a wiper for that specific model either.

Here is the 2015 wiper guide. They havent tested any 2016's yet.

I have the 18" Bosch Icon for the passenger side. The correct sizes are 26/18. I don't think there is a third party rear replacement. The connector is proprietary. Maybe that's why the rear refills cost twice as much as the fronts and half the size? :)
I live in Brazil and over here Honda doesn't provide the HR-V with flat blade wipers, but the old metallic frame ones. I personally changed the original metallic frame wipers for the Bosch Aerofit blades and matched the exact sizes: 26" and 15". Perhaps Honda applied a larger size (18 ") in the markets where it sells the HR-V with flat wiper blades...

up from the dead :)

Is there a warranty for the OEM wipers?

Maybe 12 months?

My 2016 driver side is making a bunch of noise and allows a band of rain droplets to stay on the windshield.
I am planning to take a trip to the dealership I bought the car from see if I can harass them to a new set. :)

they do not seem to the kind that take refills (seems to be a whole unit).

I turned my wipers on for the first time in late December during a light rain. They streaked and chattered like heck. Cleaned the glass with newspaper and Invisible Glass and put Rain-X on. That normally results in silent wipers in every other vehicle I've owned. Tolerated it for the next 3 rain storms to see if they would "break in" (they never did).

I owned the car for about 4 months at that point, but didn't even bother going to the dealer. Way I saw it, if they say "Yes" to a replacement, then I get the same subpar wipers. If they say "No", then I just wasted time that I could've been using to go get a functional set of wipers.

Pulled the OEM wipers off and installed a set of Bosch Excel+ wipers. Instant streak-free silence. Best $20 I've spent on this car.

My other cars use the $1.88 Black Friday special DuPont wipers from Home Depot. They last about a year, which is perfect because those wipers only come out during the holiday season. Best value by far. They work just as well as the Excel+, but at a tenth the cost.

I plan on waxing my windshield before the next rain storm. I've done it on previous cars that I've owned and have had satisfactory results. It helps the wipers glide smoothly over the windshield and the water beads right off.

FYI...I was just in Canadian Tire and according to their help yourself computer the sizes are 26" (driver) & 16" (passenger). I measured my blades and the drivers is correct length, but my passenger side is 18".

So my rear wiper has rubber falling off, no big box store catalogs have wiper info for the rear. It measures at 10", but looks to have a unique mount.

2016 HRV in the US, what's the consensus on what to replace this with? My Google skills are failing, so many sizes recommended that I wonder if it varies by country

You may find this video of interest;

.

I have not tried his method yet (I normally change the entire apparatus) but have recently just purchased a set of refills online for at least 1/3 of the price of the entire blade.
Very easy to do. I have had the best luck on wipers on this and my past Hondas with the OEM insert. They have worked the best for me and the inserts come with a grhapite coating on them..

The refills were from an online seller recommended by someone on a UK Honda forum, so I'll see how they fare over the summer months. If they don't perform as well as the blades I have several complete sets of wiper blades that I can replace them with.

I plan to go back to OEM after these wear out. The service lane kid had already put them on before I had a chance to ask if they were OEM so I accepted them anyway. The clips are ugly as sin too.
