Well, technically it’s not a recall per say, just a notification of some kind, I’m surprised that they didn’t include your year. It seems that this could be a possible reason for your problem. I actually watched a YouTube video on how to replace that Start/Stop button & it’s a relatively easy process to do yourself, but just to be safe, I’d have a mechanic diagnose it first. Wish I could help you more.

The problems with the Start button & CVT are technically not recalls but notifications where they’ll be replaced for free by a dealership. I’m pretty green at this but I’ll attempt to post a pic of the notice I received. If nothing else, it’ll show you a phone number to call that may help.

2018 Honda HRV EX

Recently our 2018 Honda HRV EX has been having an issue where the vehicle tries turning itself on when we park it and lock the vehicle. I’ve noticed that it only really happens the day that it rains. I have plenty of videos of it doing what it does, but can’t figure out why.
The whole dash board lights up as if the vehicle is trying to turn on but the key fob is no where near the car. This, then sets off my alarm and annoys the neighborhood. We’ve started unplugging the battery at night. Since we’re parked right next to my bedroom window, I’m not too concerned of someone breaking into it either.
I looked at the plugs within the moonroof and they don’t seem clogged and water doesn’t pool anywhere inside the vehicle on the carpet.
My stress levels have hit max since I just moved and took on a new apartment, and job. With a very small bank balance, I just can’t afford this brand new car to be doing this right now...
The photos posted are screenshots of the video. The key fob was not in the car but the car still acted as if I was pushing the push-button start without my foot on the brake to actually start the car. View attachment 32768 View attachment 32769 View attachment 32770

yes mine does that now it will start but don’t move for some reason all lights came on and then went off

Might also be a battery problem too, from what I understand.

Could You find the problem? I have a 2017 hrv and just started yo do that noise ando not working
