I just installed the Daisata G13 in a 2018 EX-L Navi. Great unit so far! Installation is very easy - it took me a while to realize I needed far fewer cables and connections than what came with the package. It is pretty much plug and play.

Does anyone know what key1 and key2 wire from aftermarket radio connects to hrv 2018 LX factory harness to enable steering wheel controls
The Dasaita comes with a wiring harness for easy installation. You’re in the wrong thread (topic), there is a thread for aftermarket installations, go find it and ask there.

The microphone provided with the Dasaita head unit has a very short wire and I did not use it. I bought one from Amazon and routed it underneath the steering wheel, up the A pillar and behind the sun visor. I find that it works fine for Siri but almost all calls seem to have a problem with it picking up too much background noise. I’ve read many reviews about different microphones and almost everyone says that all of these Android head units have the same problem regardless of which microphone is being used during the call.

Hi Guys,

I just bought Dasaita G13 for my HR-V 2019 Elegance trim for EU German market from dasaita webpage, it is the only model now when you filter by vehicle. Waiting on delivery

I bricked OEM head unit by installing some update which was obviously incorrect...
Originally it had version with DAB radio, Garmin navi, android 4.04, with soft menu/back/volume buttons, and hard power, eject, brightness buttons.

I am worried about microphone and gps and radio antenas. Car already has microphone can that be used ? Or the mic is part of OEM head unit ?
Can I just connect existing OEM GPS and Radio antenas and mic.
Basically I'm asking what else I have to do beside just matching connectors when installing latest Dasaita G13

Does multiangle choosing on reversing camera works with Dasaita.

Wish me luck. I'll post how it went with it on my vehicle trim.

From my experience, I have the 2022 HRV LX 2nd Gen USDM. I bought the Dasaita PX6. The microphone near the roof lights was not usable. It theoretically could have been if you could figure out which wire to splice a connector for it. Radio Antennas were direct plug-and-play to the harness, for GPS I am not sure, as mine did not come with a GPS standard.

The microphone problem is not directly related to the Dasaita head unit because from what I’ve read all of the Chinese Android head units have a microphone problem with the external microphone being poor and the internal microphone being almost useless.

I did read one experience of a person that said a noise canceling microphone that was actually made to record musical instruments gave the best performance.

My car is an LX and it didn’t come with a microphone or at least it didn’t as far as I know. The supplied microphone from Dasaita was too short to put it where I wanted (above the sun visor), so I got one from Amazon for $6 and everyone that I talk to on a phone call says that it sounds horrible. However, I think some of that noise can be attributed to the HR-V being loud inside itself.

My Dasaita did come with a GPS, it attaches to the head unit and is mounted inside the dash with double sided tape. I use Apple Maps via CarPlay on my phone, so I don’t even use that GPS although it’s installed in my car.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It is really hard to navigate all those reported user experiences and setup variations.

Communication I had with them after I made purchase was prompt and responsive, they responded quickly and addressed my concerns. Now I wait for delivery.

I opted for Dasaita G13 for my 2019 HR-V Elegance (EU) because it appears to me that it is the only option that I could install myself without having to look at wiring diagrams and purchasing separate adapter from third parties or paying professional to do it for me.

I'd prefer to use builtin antenna than their own, will order and hope if this will fit car and the dasaita GPS antenna interface so I can use OEM car factory installed antenna

From what I gathered around, the only thing I will miss are two M5 25mm long screws.

So, all in all I expect everything to go more less smoothly

We don’t have DAB in the United States, so I can’t help you with that but I can say that the wiring harness provided fit perfectly, everything was a perfect fit except for the aforementioned microphone being too short for where I wanted to mount it.

I gave up on DAB, it is not supported by the unit and requires additional unit to be connected via USB, and then again the story of adding antennas vs using factory installed...

I referred to the GPS antenna connector/adapter

Mine had everything for the GPS included and I had no problem with the installation of it.
Glad that it worked for you. Does it acquire signal well in that position under the dash cover?

Yes it does have everything included, but I would prefer adapter to use existing Honda GPS antenna vs installing new antenna on windshield as suggested in the manual.

Earlier in the thread such adapters have been mentioned but all links to Ebay and similar are now dead, so I was hoping someone could confirm that the one I linked matches car and unit.

Yes it has no problem with the GPS signal and I mounted it right behind the head unit inside of the dash. I didn’t want to see it either. It’s been so long that I don’t remember what I stuck it on to but it’s either a metal reinforcement bar for the dash pad or it’s the plastic air tube for the air conditioner vents. I will take a look at my pictures and try to find it. The GPS antenna inside of my dash has a wire that screwed into the connector on the back of the head unit, I didn’t have to use any kind of an adapter. You don’t need to fuss with connecting it to the Honda antenna, it works just fine as supplied. As I said, I use my iPhone and CarPlay for everything, the only thing that GPS antenna does for me is keep my head unit in the correct time zone to set the clock.

Thanks for photos of your installation.
I am a bit obsessed to use my car's shark fin antenna on the roof with the unit. :)

It appears that new G13 doesn't have SMA connector for antenna, instead it has FAKRA C type. (blue one)

As I expect that car has GT5 connectors for antenna, and that it may have only one connector for GPS,DAB and FM radio I ordered one GT5 female -> FAKRA C if antennas has separate cabling and another one in case signals are joined in one antenna GT5 female -> GT5 male + FAKRA C

Can you confirm that the FM antenna connector adapter of Dasaita has GT5 female (square connector) ?
Or maybe all signals are joined in that one OEM cable and with the splitter I'll be able to get GPS signal from factory antenna which has this connector as seen online

Will let you know if I succeeded or if I had to use the provided antenna.
Anyway, it will work, with factory antenna using one of adapter or with the provided one with Dasaita.

I can confirm that it’s been so long that I can’t be sure but yes I believe that the antenna adapter was the grey square in your picture.

I had to use the FAKRA adapter to the shark fin antenna in a car that I had in the past and it worked fine.

iOS 26 will be released on Monday, so I always document my apps in case anything gets lost, even though that’s never happened before in the past.

The police scanner radio would be totally useless down here, the cops use a frequency that is scrambled, you need get your hands on a de-scrambler device, if you can afford it.

As for taking pics of your Apps, I do the exact same thing with the settings for the car itself. So that if the head unit is ever factory reset I can put all the settings back the way I had them. (y)(y)
What did we ever do before electronic technology? Use a notepad. 🤣🤣
