Any gen that has a CVT transmission, I dislike. These belong in a Yugo......not a Honda.
There were a lot of car manufacturers that had problems with the CVT, not just Honda. There are also a lot of other cars with a lot of other problems. In fact, we traded in my wife’s Ford DSG for a Civic CVT because it was having constant transmission problems.

Understood.....i just expect more from a Honda. If this is the result, I'll just buy a cheaper alternative next time. If Honda wants to keep their good reputation, they need to stand behind their product.

2023 HR-V with FWD, 2.0L, CVT.

LCD display is hard or impossible to read when driving in sunlight.... most of the time. I maxed out the brightness setting.

Fob can accidentally release itself (side button gets hit especially if you've attached your keys to your belt w carabineer, etc). Wrap the top of fob with a couple layers/rounds of 1" cloth/hockey tape, covering the side button, so you won't get back to your car after a dog walk/hike and realize you only have the useless valet key attached to your key ring. After taping, test to see if covering the side button really makes it impossible to engage the button allowing fob to fall off.

Horn is too wimpy, not loud enough. When someone drifts into your lane, you'd better be ready with an escape route, which is exactly what you should be focusing on constantly ("which car ahead of me, or coming up in rear view mirror, is likely to do something stupid?").
I intend to replace the horns, almost got sideswiped in LH/fast lane by an ambitious blind middle lane driver and my horn did not wake him/her up.

Battery is small, but I bought a spare, am considering having it charged and permanently sitting (with positive and negative terminals covered) in the car... it's a dog mobile anyways with rear seats always flattened and I made a plywood board covering entire rear area so fido owns the whole upper back section (so the only good places for a spare battery are the rear passenger foot areas).

Can't say I love having an electronic parking brake, though it works nicely, it's not an emergency brake.

Off topic you might say, below:

No problems with Made in Mexico. Just my good luck? I don't know.

I could get better than 31mpg (if I had AWD it would be less) if my highway average speed was less than my usual 75mph.

Drive it like it's a baby/newborn when it comes to acceleration and shifting (between Drive and Reverse, obviously, do a full stop in between). I see no reason to select lower gears, since while going down a very steep hill the CVT transmission does a good job of letting the engine do a lot of the slowdown work... almost the only time my RPMs go much higher than 3000, on a steep winding downhill near my house where I need to maintain a slow 20mph. Let us pray for all our CVT transmissions, and realize it's lifespan is probably mostly dependent on your driving (RH/lead foot) habits and traffic/speed requirements.

I have a 3020 HR-V LX. At night when making a turn, all I see is a wall of darkness. Straight ahead lights are fine.

This s dangerous. I have installed new headlights, but has not corrected this problem.

Is this a common problem? Can it be rectified?
I am probably one of the people here that have really poor vision, especially at night and I’m not having that problem. However, I added fog lights with headlight bulbs (all 6 of my lights are NOVSIGHT) and when I turn on the fog lights it really lights up the side of the road from ditch to ditch. So, my suggestion is to add them like I did to mine (also a 2020 HR-V LX). I posted on here my installation.

Will try it. Thank you.
