Just looked at their site ... amazing, one model fits 2007 through the present?

This is either a typo, or there's a few things about our vehicles of which we were not aware.

Received the brackets today and it took about 30 minutes to install. No issues at all installing these are the same as the brackets for the Honda Fit. If you look on their site you can see the install video under the service and support section look for the Honda Fit. Having the seat back all the way back is actually to far, best money I have spent. The only thing I don't like is that you can see in the picture is when the seat is back, you can see a slit in the carpet now. Will see how the difference is tomorrow on a hour long drive into work :) .

Any issues with the bolts? I read on the Accord forum that they were a bit long so people had some safety concerns.

And is the slit already there and we just can't see it with the factory seat placement?

Looking forward to more feedback on it.

Thanks for posting pictures! It's seriously tempting, wish they were a little cheaper, but I can see how much custom geometry there is in there. The powder coating looks nice.

The slit was already there from the factory, going to try some carpet tape to see if I can make it go away, I did not see any issues with the bolts. I can say the drive into work this morning was the most comfortable drive in for this car. Again best money spent for me...

Well, I just purchased a set for my drivers side, will let you guys know how it goes! I had put the rails in my cart but was stunned by the $25 UPS ground shipping charge, so I let it sit in my cart.

A few weeks later I just got an email with a 10% off coupon! The coupon was "cart", which basically took off the shipping charges ($247 shipped). If you're on the fence, you can try that coupon code!

Thanks for this. Looking forward to hearing how it goes.

Well I took the plunge (easy 20 minute install), and I guess I'm happy? As a 6'4" dude I can now go so far back that I can't push the clutch all the way to the carpet, but the brake/gas would be fine. It goes so far back that I wasn't comfortable reaching the stick or the steering wheel anymore, although tilting the seat-back forward helped that a bit. One unintentional benefit is that the mounting holes are a lot bigger, so I can now play with adding more washers under the front to see if that helps :) Took a 3+ hour car ride over the weekend and it was mildly more comfortable, although far from the best I've had (I miss power tilt seats).

Box came damaged (just like my hitch did), looks like rails were barely contained in it, however were wrapped in lots of foam and paper and survived without a scratch. Was VERY concerned that it said Honda Fit, especially because their website STILL lists it as being available since 2007.

Left rail was nearly 2" from the carpet after bolting one end in, it's like the bracket wasn't made for this car. I was able to put a buch of weight on it and bend it down enough to tighten the bolt and bend the bracket...but this is an obvious design flaw.

Stock rubber floor mats don't fit in the rear anymore (rail comes back and is tight to the carpet. Bummer, I'm going to hate cutting them up. Plastic "shoe" over the back of the rails also doesn't fit, had to take a clipper to them and remove some plastic.

View from the front seat, it looks ok. The powder coating is nice and thick, and matches my black interior. I can't help but notice that they included silver bolts instead of black oxide though, may take them out and try painting them flat black. I do like the ledge to put my feet on that was created by moving the seat back, helps rest my legs when one foot isn't busy.

Last comment I'll make is the quality of the bolts is very poor, they started rounding off when I put some torque into them and seem very soft. It's a brand new socket set, and I made sure it's the right size, they just seem CHEAP, which is disappointing because of the price of these stupid brackets.

Overall I'd rate them a 7 out of 10, mainly because there are no other good options. The bracket itself is well designed for the most part, but the execution is a little poor.

I'm not sure what to think. I definitely want some kind of solution, but cheap bolts and ill-placement leave me worried, especially at that price.

I think I'd be disappointed, if not a little pissed, if I saw that kind of gap and these kinds of problems.

Seat extenders - 2018 HRV

Hi everyone,

My second post.

So my wife is 5' 11", and the passenger seat is just not offering up enough leg room.

I was told extendmyseat has rails that I can install. I order them, they don't show up. I emailed them multiple times, called, chatted, facebook posted, and after no response, they accused me of not responding to their messages (which I asked for proof). They say that they told me they were out of stock, which they didn't. 5 weeks later, they cancelled my order and refunded me the purchase. I'm probably going to post a thread about that experience to warn any HRV owners about them.

That's the back story of why that product didn't work.

Can anyone offer any other products out there to create more leg room in the passenger seat of the 2018 HRV? Any suggestions would be great because my wife is really uncomfortable on the long road trips we take.

Thanks!

George

DO NOT BUY THESE SEAT RAILS! I have tried THREE times and each time after 30 days of waiting for them to ship my order I had to force a refund through PayPal. I could not get an ExtendMySeat representative to respond to any of my communications attempts.

That sucks to hear, they were the only thing that made this car comfortable for me to drive. After the initial install issues they worked great for years.

Reading some reviews it sounds like your experience is not unique...and they just suck at communicating. :(
