Hi All,

I find myself always having to re-adjust the height maybe every 5-10 minutes while driving.

Has anyone else experience this and know a fix? Should I take it back to the dealer?

Thanks

Hi, I too own an HRV VTi and have the same problem. Mine has a build date of Feb 2018 and I first noticed the problem after around 10 months of ownership. I spent months thinking it was my imagination before reporting it to my local Honda Dealer. I like sitting in an elevated position so set my seat to its highest setting. After just 1 hour of city driving, it requires 3 lifts of the manual lever to restore the seat to my preferred position. Accordingly, after around a week of driving it requires 15 to 20 lifts to get it back to my preferred position. In a week I only drive around 6 hrs. I have been dealing with both the Honda dealership and Honda Australia for over 8 months with this problem and they will not cover under warranty claiming that it's caused by, "external influence". So much for a 7-year warranty? Any tips anyone?

Regarding settings for seats... I'm tall. Every time I drive my mother in laws truck it's like being put into a crusher. It automatically moves the seat full stop forward and jams my knees into the dash if I'm not paying attention.

I agree though, in most cases nice to have :)

Might be a defect. Mine hasn’t moved since I set it before driving it off the lot. No inadvertent movement, no readjustment needed. Only one driver and seat stays put vertically.

But it’s still a peeve of mine that these cars are not equipped with motorized adjustable drivers seats. That “pump” lever is so hokey and seems like if there are two drivers having to each adjust that seat mechanically often, it will eventually crap out.

I'm really surprised you don't have motorised drivers seats in the US, I have it in my HR-V down here in OZ and find it a godsend as me and the wife share the driving of the car and constantly change the position of the seat back and forth, up and down.

On the matter of motorised seats though, it would be nice if Honda could come up with some sort of preset so I could set my seat position and my wife hers and have the seat return to that position at the touch of a button. Are you reading this Honda? :)
