The first minder came up at a little more than 1000 miles and was at 15 percent, my local dealer changed it no questions. Now I have just barely over 2,000 miles and registers 40% oil life. At this rate I would have to join OPEC. Anyone else have this symptom and if so what did you or dealer find out?

These posts without any context and further information are totally useless. You can’t come on here and rant and have absolutely no background.

Driving habits, typical range, time between 1k and 2k miles.

None of this information is given. Yes, you need to change your oil based on a wide variety of variables. Time, age, usage, stress on engine and etc.

if your 1k was may 2023 and you’re at 2k now in sept 2024. That’s totally normal. You don’t use your car what so ever. Oil is a wear and tear item. You can’t let a car sit 20 years and expect fluids and tires to still last. It’s your engine, it’s your car. Do with it what you will.

Just got first oil change done on my 2019 Hybrid Touring. 10,000 plus milews and still had 30% oil life so if I would have carried on it would approach 15,000 miles. Seems a lot to me. Oil is cheap. Im thinking the ECU/brsin must factor in when gas enging is not running and logs only engine running miles. Does anyone know how this works? I will still change my oil on a more regular basis, what do you all do?
