it probably part of the flooring (as a part#) - so I would look into some type of adhesive and fix yourself.

or replace that whole piece of 'floor' - which will get involved.

Agreed, clean and then glue it in place.

I think contact cement would work best. The small jar/can with the brush attached to the lid.
Carefully coat both contact areas, let it dry and then press it into place.
The contact cement will hold while it dries. Let it sit overnite.

I do not own a 2017 so might be mistaken, but the adhesive pattern on that part makes me think this was a non-factory addition.

But I agree, contact cement should do the trick.

 

It’s indeed a factory addition, in fact I want to add one to the passenger side of my car.

 

For a car, make sure you use a proper automotive adhesive, like a headliner glue. It needs to stand up to heat.

Walmart, Amazon, and other sources (autoparts stores) sell "Headliner Adhesive".. For your repair, spray it into a plastic cup, and brush it on. A thin coat on both sides of the affected area works best!
