Anyone seen any red HRV?
For now.....We have one and love it. I read it will soon be built in Mexico (I think).I thought you championed the Celaya plant early on. If the gold standard is "Made in Japan", the CX-5 is built entirely in Hiroshima.
We also own a Mazda CX-5, in silver, and it has a black interior. I can attest to the fact silver conceals dirt very well. We live on a farm with a long gravel road now, and when dry, driving in or out of the property creates a cyclone of dust. My daughters 2015 "Passion Berry Pearl" (purple), is highly reflective and is terrible about showing dirt. The silver does not look bad until it is really really really dirty.Interesting. The fading issue may convince me to go with another color. At this point seems like the steel metallic is the only option for me since I prefer the black interior. Sorry, no green, black or mulberry for me. ::laugh:
WAIT A MINUTE...Did they at pin striping to this one?

Milano Red has been around for at least 2008, which was the color of our 2008 Fit. The only downside seems to be it's fading issue. We did not notice this problem until we took pictures of our 2008, just prior to selling it. Otherwise, we love the red.
Cool. Would it be too much trouble to start a thread and post all the pages there?
Hard to find printed brochures around here.

DONE. See new thread!I will start scanning them again page by page, reduce the jpeg size and upload them on a separate thread. May not be able to upload till later tonight. Please standby all...
Good catch. I was not even paying attention to the pin striping until you mentioned it. Some of the other exterior photos I took clearly shows it too. I did not get down to price negotiations so do not know what the markup is. I suspect this one is decked out to increase the price!WAIT A MINUTE...Did they at pin striping to this one?

Love love the red. Sharp. Like the roof rails too. I had a red 06 Jeep Wrangler LJ that I recently sold , no noticable fading, looked sharp as day one. Kept it waxed, but parked outside all those years.
Same here. Blue is also not available in manual. I am not real happy about color choices for the ex-manual.There's a Red EX-L I saw today in the Sacramento Area. I have to say, it looked much better in person than I thought it would, it's a bit darker than I thought it would be. However, no manual transmission in red means it's not an option for me.
The HR-V red is the Milano Red. It has been in the Honda line-up since at least 1992 (ref: http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?manuf=Honda&code=R81&con=m).
We had a 1998 1st gen Honda CR-V in the Milano Red. We drove her for 6 1/2 years and the paint looked as good as the day we bought her when we sold her for a 2003 CR-V. Of course, she was garaged and I did a thorough detailing with clay/wax/sealant twice a year.
I'm leaning toward the Milano Red being the best color to show the lines of the HR-V. The red/black combo works very well, and a bit of chrome splash somewhere may work well.
What I am noticing as I drop in and out of our dealer's lot (just got an email that the Mulberry is in... I'm going this afternoon to take a peak) is that the red looks the sharpest. The HR-V seems more "streamlined" with less acute angles than the FIT/CR-V, and it needs something for contrast.
Like us for instance. We owned the Milano Red Fit, and it faded. We also noticed most of the fade came on the metal body panels, not the plastic bumper sections. Keep in mind, the fade is subtle, and we only noticed it in photo's we took when we sold it. I think you see the car everyday, and don't notice small imperfections in the paint. But be away from it for a while, and when you see it, it stands out like a sore thumb. We kept the car waxed, but also kept it outside. The sun in Tennessee is no where near as bad as say Florida, or Arizona.Agree, people can talk of fade, but always better to hear directly from those who have owned it.
His Jeep was not Honda's Milano Red paint. No comparison. I once had a candy apple red mustang, again, no comparison.Agree, people can talk of fade, but always better to hear directly from those who have owned it.

Having said that, I would not hesitate to purchase another Milano Red Honda, but since it looks now like we are getting the CR-V, I will need to consider a different color.
