I've heard mutterings on another forum that there is a 12 month wait for the top of the range, and 6 month wait for the other 2 specs.

Elegance £26,960
Advance £29,210
Advance Style £31,660

Honda UK have created a 'virtual experience' for customers to have a 30 minute online one to one with a sales advisor to give a walk around.

This just turned up on my Google feed:

The render in the article just looks like s modified CRV. And if that starting price is correct, that is one MASSIVE disparity in pricing between markets: starting price in UK $36,800 compared to $23,000 in US.

Also not sure about how long Honda (and other manufacturers, for that matter) can hold out with still providing ICE in other markets, yet only providing hybrid or electric only in Europe. The EU tends to bring lawsuits against such things which can run into the €100M's of against the manufacturer.

The HRV hybrid will be nice. My son is getting a new car and is pretty set on the Toyota Rav 4 prime. He drives every day under 50 km, so he may not need to buy gas unless he goes on a trip. 42mile/68km Electic only range
I think this is a really smart way, tiny battery that can do short drives daily electric only.
Why drive daily with 1,000 lbs of batteries for an 8 hour drive if you don’t need it

The battery in the ehev HR-V is very small, most reviews have commented on the fact Honda don't give a maximum electric only range, but guestimate that it is likely to be only a few miles at most, and nowhere near the RAV4 PHEV's 47 miles.

Imperial mpg is around 50+mpg, with some UK owners claiming over 60+mpg. The Lexus NX runs on the same system as the RAV4 PHEV, and the difference in weight between the self charging and PHEV is approximately 200Kg/440lb. Also note, although there was initial speculation that with the introduction of an electric motor to the drivetrain, Honda may re-introduce an AWD HR-V to the UK/EU market as per the MKI, the e:HEV system as used in the UK is FWD only. However, the HR-V is a small seller in the EU (let alone the UK) for Honda selling 132k MkII HR-V's over its 5 year lifespan, which is around 5k less than HUS sold in just 2021. So it is probably not worth it for them to offer AWD on such small numbers, especially when they can make more money out of the CRV.

I don’t know the algorithm they use? PHEV will use gas if the engine has not been used for awhile. You don’t want the same gas in your tank for months.

I hadn't realized this was an issue.

Did some googling and found this:

.
The RAV4 Prime’s driver’s manual states “fuel may remain in the tank for a long time and undergo changes in quality depending on how the vehicle is used.”

Toyota recommends adding at least 20 litres of gasoline every 12 months. If fresh gasoline hasn’t been added in a while, the main display will flash a message telling you to add fuel.

Toyota said stale gasoline isn’t usually an issue in regular hybrids, such as the Prius or RAV4 Hybrid, because they can only be driven in EV-only modes for short distances – sometimes for less than a block.
That's uh... new problem. I mean, what if you don't actually use any gas, there's a limit to how much you can add to a nearly full tank. So, does that mean you HAVE to make sure you use gas in some fashion? Like stop charging at home and make sure the drives use the gas engine?

I think if the goal is to avoid using gas... it might be better going with a pure EV.
